How We Do It

INITIAL ASSESSMENT

PLAN YOUR NUTRITION JOURNEY

We take a trek into getting to know you. We ask questions to understand your needs and concerns, personal goals, cultural values, relevant medical history, lifestyle and eating patterns. It’s an opportunity for you to have your questions answered and to learn.

Continue to work with us to guide you towards long-term, sustainable health. We offer single-time follow-up sessions or packages - it’s in your hands.

Let's Redefine Your Relationship With Food

FAQ

In Canada, the “dietitian” title is protected by law. Dietitians are regulated health professionals that must hold a university degree in food and nutrition, complete rigorous practical training, pass a national licensing exam (just like doctors, nurses, etc.), register with their provincial regulatory body and meet ethical standards to legally practice in Canada. Dietitians stay on top of the latest research and translate that into practical guidance to help you improve your health. By seeking support from a dietitian, it’s a way for you to be sure you’re receiving safe, evidenced-based recommendations, tailored to your specific needs.

For more on this, please visit the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.

We will meet you at your level! As each person’s reason for working with a dietitian is different, it is our responsibility to understand your needs and help you set realistic, achievable and personalized next steps.

We may ask questions to get to know you and you can definitely do the same for us. Expect a judgment-free, confidential environment where you can talk about yourself and share your values, goals and concerns.

Still unsure whether working with a dietitian is the right fit for you? Send us an email or book a free discovery call - let’s talk!

After booking your initial assessment, you will receive an intake questionnaire from us so that we can get to know you, and you can share your concerns. We encourage you to think about your values and areas you may want to change or improve, and reflect on your current eating and lifestyle patterns.

Sustainable diet and lifestyle changes take time. Follow-up sessions with a dietitian can help you track your progress, adjust your nutrition plan as you go, and continue to learn new information to help you move forward.
